Join the Coalition!
LACCDPA is the coalition of groups and individuals working to end the death penalty in California's #1 Killer County.
There are lots of ways you can get involved in the movement to end death sentencing in LA County. We always have opportunities to volunteer, come to local events, or take a leadership role by joining one of the Planning Committees below -- just drop us a line!
The Coalition's work is divided into three areas, each led by a Planning Committee that meets by conference call: Resolutions, Lobbying, and Education.
Over 20 community groups throughout the county have passed the Resolution to End Death Sentences in LA County, asking the DA to stop seeking death. We work with all types of clubs, congregations, and associations to educate their members about the death penalty and pass the resolution -- you can download the resolution and pass it in your own community group!
Join the Resolutions Committee to help reach out to new community groups and organizations. By working with new groups and helping them pass the Resolution to End Death Sentences in LA County, you can build the size and stength of our movement.
The Resolutions Committee holds a telephone conference call every other Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Join Now!

We work to build a broad coalition of elected oficials and representative bodies that calls on the DA to stop seeking death sentences. By meeting with City Councilmembers and County Supervisors, we urge influential leaders in LA County to help reduce death sentences.
Join the Lobby Committee to help plan our county-wide lobbying strategy and to meet with elected officials throughout LA County to urge them to take a stand against death sentences.
The Lobby Committee holds a telephone conference call every other Wednesday at 4:00 pm. Join Now!
